Omega-3 Complex: (1000mg Triple Fish Oil Softgel: 180 EPA / 120 DHA):
NutriPods Premium II contains Omega-3 fatty acids from wild anchovies, herring and sardines. This is a pharmaceutical grade oil tested for heavy metals and other contaminants. Fatty acids have the support of many clinical studies that suggest Omega-3’s can protect our bodies from cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Omega-3s are also very important for neurotransmitter production and mood enhancement.
Greens (Super foods) Complex:
Pods Premium II includes a full array of greens. These superfoods offer a rich source of chlorophyll for cleansing and detoxifying. Greens provide subtle nutrients not normally found in vitamins and minerals. These include trace elements, minerals, flavonoids, antioxidants and pigments. These co-factors improve the assimilation of the other nutrients from the Pods.
Antioxidants:
Every day our bodies are assaulted by free radicals from toxins in our food, air, and water. Stress, toxins and inadequate nutrition all conspire to weaken immune function. Pods Premium II contains a wide array of anti-oxidants, as well as chlorophyll-rich cleansing agents to promote immune health by supporting detoxification pathways and fighting free radicals. As well as the basic antioxidants: beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium. Pods provides bonus antioxidants, including appreciable amounts (25mg each) of grape seed extract, alpha-lipoic acid and quercetin.
Natural Mixed Carotenoids:
Pods Premium II contains a complete array of mixed carotenoids. These include: alpha carotene, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, tocotrienols, zeaxanthin, and cryptoxanthin. Mixed carotenoids can help with eye problems, skin disorders, enhance immunity and can protect against certain forms of cancer. With Pods you can always be sure your beta-carotene (with mixed carotenoids) is natural.
The Vitamin Complex:
NutriPods Premium II contain the complete family of B vitamins to help fight stress, and support mental and physical health. Pods also uses the latest generation methylcobalamin form of B-12, which is much easier for the body to absorb than the older cynocobalamin form. The B-complex contains sufficient levels of B-6, B-12, and Folic Acid to prevent homocysteine build up, which can cause cholesterol to trap in the arteries. The Vitamin Complex also includes: natural source vitamin E, choline, inositol, pantothenic acid and vitamin D.
The C Complex:
Pods Premium II contains pure buffered vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), instead of the cheaper ascorbic acid. Buffered C is much easier for the body to absorb and stays active in the system for a greater duration of time. The C complex in the Pods also contain biologically active bioflavonoids (rutin, hesperidin, and quercitin). Rosehip seed extract has been added to the C-Complex as a synergistic base for the formula. Vitamin C elevates glutathione levels, which enhances immune and detoxification functions. Both vitamin C and bioflavonoids are necessary to maintain and strengthen connective tissue, veins and capillaries.
Mineral Mix Complex:
Nutri-Pods Premium II uses coral, citrates and true (Albion patented) amino acid chelates for the mineral sources used in the Mineral Mix Complex. Citrates are known to be much easier for the body to absorb than other mineral sources such as oxides and carbonate. However, the fact of the matter is citrate is only better absorbed on an empty stomach. All forms of minerals are absorbed relatively equally when taken with food. We believe all isolated vitamins and minerals should be taken at meal times. The mineral Mix Complex offers so many minerals in appreciable quantities the complex had to be broken into two capsules. When it comes to calcium magnesium ratios most supplements use the old ratio 2:1 calcium to magnesium, while Pods have a 1:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium. We do this because magnesium deficiency is actually more common than calcium deficiency. The Mineral Mix Complex also provides 15mg of silica to support calcium assimilation. Also included in the mineral mix are appreciable amounts of chromium, for blood sugar regulation, iodine, for thyroid function, selenium, a powerful anti-cancer agent, and zinc, a critical immune supportive.
Suggested Use:
Because Pods are recommended at only one per day, each Pod contains a full milligram of folic acid (a necessary daily minimal). Products recommended at two packs per day can only put half as much of this nutrient in each, due to Health Canada law. At the same time it would be perfectly safe for an individual to choose to use two Pods per day, if they had an inadequate diet or were in poor health.
